Last night, the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) Art Foundation unveiled work from their 2025 scholarship recipients, including young Tahltan artist Elijah Morberg. Elijah's work, "Raven Travels", will now be on display at YVR and viewed by the millions of people who pass through the airport each year. At the unveiling, the YVR Art Foundation also announced their 2026 scholarship recipients, including Tahltan artist Wenda Day. Over the next year, Wenda plans to carve a yellow cedar wolf panel.

Here they are pictured with Elijah's panel and one of their teachers and mentors, Tahltan-Tlingit master carver Stan Bevan. Stan Bevan co-founded the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art, which both Elijah and Wenda attend. Last month, he was appointed to the Order of British Columbia.
