This training is available at NO COST to Tahltan Central Government members of Dease Lake, and to TCG members outside of Dease Lake who live in the Northwest and who can provide their own transportation costs to Dease Lake. Limited accommodation is available and a student allowance will be provided to TCG members who are unemployed and must travel to Dease Lake to participate.
What is Wildfire Training?
Fighting wildfires is a difficult, but highly rewarding experience that requires two types of training. Firefighter Training and Wildfire Medic Training. Firefighting training incorporates all the courses needed to extinguish and control a wildfire. Medic Training will prepare you for any incidents and injuries that may happen during a wildfire.
